Introduce myself and my philosophy about AP chemistry
(material is difficult, I won't try to make it more difficult)
Discussed dual credit vs AP classes
Discussed separation of mixtures (ammonium chloride, sodium chloride and silicon dioxide).
Told students to reach chapters in book and look at EVERY example problem in the book to prepare.
Frequently give class time to allow students to work together to understand.
Labs will have reagents mixed by students - they will learn to dilute and mix chemicals.
AP Chemistry
Have students get to know one another and introduce themselves to the class. Find out what students want to study in college and why they chose to take AP Chemistry class.
